The Cha-Cha (or Cha-Cha-Chá) is a lively, flirtatious Latin dance of Cuban origin, known for its characteristic "cha-cha-cha" triple step, which mimics the shuffling sound of dancers' feet. Evolving from Mambo and Rumba in the 1950s, it features compact, quick steps, hip movements (Cuban motion), and a steady, upbeat rhythm, making it popular in both social settings and ballroom competitions.
